Civic Engagement

MICAH agrees with that principle and works to develop an informed, active electorate that’s aware of the power of their vote and is prepared to stand up for causes that affect our freedom. It is a recognition that none of our issue work is separate from the need to vote and to be informed voters. MICAH with WISDOM affiliates are involved in the Relational Voter Program (RVP), where leaders each take responsibility for discussing the issues we work on with ten to twenty friends, neighbors, family members, or co-workers and encourage them to vote. All around the Milwaukee area, MICAH members and supporters participated in phone banking, and digital organizing to make sure people are informed about the issues and to encourage everyone to vote.

We also work with other community organizations and partners in helping to turn out the vote for every election, and we believe every election is important. We stand ready to collaborate on every front whenever and however the right to vote is threatened.
